On a personal note for the Wilkerson file, Jason Moon was probably one of the most patient contractors I have ever dealt with. He was very helpful in dealing with this, kept me informed, and took good photographs. It seemed as though the multiple layers were discovered about the time the Moore storm hit and I only received one call from Jason and one from Mr. Wilkerson in the 2 months since this situation developed. Their patience speaks volumes for the character of both in my opinion. Jason said, "Ryan, I am not sure what the insurance company allows as far a tear off of layers goes, but any help would be great." I can't say I have ever felt sorry for a contractor, but in this case I feel sorry for the guy and rather than being pushy, he just asked that I do what I can. Can you imagine? I contacted RM Ranger Roofing after referral from a good friend of mine. They measured the roof and estimated the repair costs with a hail damage claim on my vacation home. The insurance company didn't want to pay the claim and a representative from RM Ranger Roofing met the insurance company at the house and they both walked the roof, the insurance company changed their position and paid the claim. RM Ranger Roofing also handled the repair of the water damage caused by the leaking roof. I didn't even have to take time off work to meet them at my vacation home, they just handled everything and my family was able to go back to enjoying our home.
